Holy Name Conservatory of Music

“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything.” ~ Plato ~

Founded in 2006, the Holy Name Conservatory of Music offers private lessons in piano, guitar, violin & voice to Holy Name School students, its alumni & parishioners. All students are invited to participate in the Conservatory’s program of recitals and in the Liturgy Program of the Parish throughout the year.

The Conservatory promotes individual and community growth through music, and is committed to the highest quality of education. Our distinguished faculty members hold advanced degrees from top conservatories and universities. They also maintain active and prestigious performing careers. All are dedicated to bringing music into the lives of those they teach—from the beginning student just starting out to the advanced student contemplating a career in music.

Private instrumental or voice lessons are at the center of every musician’s education, and are essential to developing a lifelong love of music. The Conservatory offers private instruction to students ages five through adult in piano, guitar, violin or voice. Our teachers tailor private lessons to address the learning style and goals of each student, from the beginner to the advanced student aspiring a career in music. Equal emphasis is placed on developing technical proficiency, interpretive skills, individual creativity, and self-confidence. Our students are encouraged to participate in the Fall and Spring Recitals every year.

Dear Holy Name Conservatory families,

Every violin student will need to provide their own violin for classes and it is ideal to have one for the first class if possible. Most students decide to rent in the beginning so I am including information from my colleague Thomas Yee of Bay Fine Strings. His daughter is attending Holy Name, so drop-offs and maintenance can happen before or after school in coordination with him. This rental or purchase option will very convenient for families and the quality and value is fantastic. There are other options for rentals in town or if you already have a violin that's fine as well.

Please find the rental package links below or go to his website and click on rental and you will find all the information you need for the rental. If you choose to rent or purchase through Bay Fine Strings the violins will be delivered at the school for the first day of class.
