8th Grade Market Sale benefits local charities.

On May, 16th, the 8th Grade students held a Market Sale to aid various charities around the San Francisco Bay Area. They sold hot food items, bracelets, coasters, soft toys, buns, cookies, t-shirts, chime bells, Ryan-wear hoodies and much more.
This project allowed our students to share valuable information about the work local charities do in our communities. They developed communication, organization and financial skills which will benefit them when they move onto their respective high schools.
The charities that will benefit from this project are: Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, SF Safehouse, Wonder Dog, Alzheimer's Association, MedShare, Salvation Army, Children's Book Project, Medecins San Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders), SFSPCA, SF Marin Food Bank, Humane Society, Boys & Girls Club, St. Anthony's Foundation, Glide Memorial, Rocket Dog Rescue, Food Runners, UCSF, Chinese Lutheran Church, Family Dog Rescue.
Holy Name School is a school with a strong Catholic ethos. Such projects allow our community to develop and share our strong Catholic values with other members of society.
