Director's Update

Sept. 18th, 2017
Dear HNPS Families,
Thank you for your generosity toward our first Free Dress Day on Friday, Sept. 8th.  We raised $230 toward the Hurricane Harvey Relief fund.  Your gifts were given to the U. S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' Fund to help the Houston families in need.
Thank you advance to Rhona (Eden-RF) and Paola (Giuseppe-BF/Giada-RF) and their volunteer committee for assisting with our Lifetouch Picture Day on Wednesday, Sept. 20th from 8:30 am-12:00 pm.  Please have your children dress in full uniform that day.
Thank you to Liz and Jeff (Isabelle-BF) for organizing our Family Fiesta Night on Friday, Sept. 29th-5:30-7:30 pm. Please join them,  the Parent Committee and parent volunteers for their meeting on Thursday, Sept. 21st in our new Staff Lounge.  Thanks to the funds raised by our Family Fun Day event in the spring, we were able to paint and decorate the room during the summer.  Thanks to our great families, the staff now have a tranquil room to rest and relax.  Thank you again to FFD committee (Travis-Sean RF, Tina-Toni BF & Lauren-Malcolm BF) and all our families for making it happen!
Please see attached our RF and BF newsletters for the week.  Have a wonderful week!

Dear HNPS Families,
Thank you everyone for attending our Back to School Night!  It was wonderful greeting our new and returning families!  We hope everyone enjoyed the evening and was able to learn more about their child's classrooms and our activities for the fall.  It was also great to see many of our families at our Spirit Mass!
We regret to announce that Ms. Jen has decided to leave our program for personal reasons.  We wish her luck in her new endeavor.
Please see attached the Red Fish and Blue Fish newsletters for the week.  On Wednesday, September 20th, Lifetouch will be taking school photos of your children in the morning.  You are not obligated to purchase the photos.  More information regarding purchasing the photos will be available soon.  There will be a make-up day on October 19th.
Have a wonderful week!

Dear HNPS Families,
We hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day Weekend!  As we enter into the month of September, there are many events we hope you will attend this month.  First, this Friday, September 8th,  is our Back to School Night!  This is a parents-only event where you will meet your child's teachers and other parents.  You will also hear from our very special Parent Committee who will fill you in with some special events they have planned for the fall.  Please arrive by 7:00 pm and stay for refreshments after the meeting at 8:00 pm.
On Sunday, September 10th, the elementary school, the preschool and the parish community will have our Spirit Mass at 9:30 am at our church.  The preschool staff will be there as Father Arnold and the parish community welcomes us and the students back for a productive and successful year.  Afterwards, there will be the International Food Fair at the gym.  The Holy Name Elementary School will set up booths to honor different cuisines around the world.  Please click here if you would like to purchase tickets-Jimmy- International Food Fair .  We hope to see many of our preschool families at the Family Mass.
This week, we also welcome Ms. Lucy into our Red Fish room.  Ms.Lucy received her B.A. from SF State in Liberal Studies with an Emphasis in Elementary School Teaching and has taught preschool for the past eight years.  Ms. Lucy will start on Wednesday.  Welcome Ms. Lucy!
Please find attached the RF and BF newsletters for the week and the September lunch menu.
Again, thank you for trusting your precious children to our care.  Our partnership with you is very important to us.  Have a wonderful week!

Dear HNPS Families,
Welcome!  We are so excited to meet and welcome our new and returning families for our 2017 school year!
We have been preparing our rooms for the start of school on Monday.   We hope your children are as excited as we are to the start of a new school year!

  • After 9:30 am, we will lock the doors.  Please ring the door bell.
  • Please bring a change of clothes and shoes.
  • Please label your child's Holy Name sweatshirt!
  • Please bring in sunscreen with your child's name.
