Kindergarten
Dear Parents,
Welcome to Kindergarten! I would first like to introduce myself. My name is Colleen Mumford and I have lived in San Mateo County my entire life. I attended St. Charles School in San Carlos for 9 years, Notre Dame High School in Belmont, and earned my B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development: School Age Child and Family from San Francisco State University. After earning my B.A., I went to Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont. I earned my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Notre Dame and am currently working towards my Masters in Education with an emphasis in technology. I have worked in a school setting for over 12 years. I taught at Merry Moppet Preschool in Belmont for four years, and co-taught at Belmont Oaks Academy for two years, in both the first and fourth grades. I am extremely grateful to have become part of the Holy Name faculty and community.
I feel greatly privileged to have all of your children in my Kindergarten class. It is my goal to provide a loving, safe and nurturing environment for my students. Your children will be meeting numerous new friends, having many new experiences, and learning countless new things. I am looking forward to a great 2009-2010 school year!
