Grade 4A
Dear Parents,
We have a lot to look forward to in the fourth quarter. We will go on three field trips this quarter. Our first field trip will be to Fort Point on May 10th. The second field trip will be to Mission Dolores on May 14th. Our last field trip will be the End of the Year Picnic on June 1st.
As a class we have started reading Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume. In religion we are working on our Fully Alive book. For each chapter the students are completing different projects. In science we have finished learning about circuits and magnets and now will begin studying about the rainforest. In social studies we have learned how lucky we are to live in California because of all its diversity and what an important role immigrants played in making California what it is today. In math we have started learning about different types of graphs. Of course we are still practicing our multiplication and division.
As we head into the last quarter of this school year it is nice to see how much the students have grown this year. I am so proud of all the 4A students. They have worked so hard this year to prepare themselves for fifth grade.

*Please note that we will be going on two field trips in one week. A bus will be provided for the Fort Point field trip and we will take Muni for the Mission Dolores field trip.
