Holy Name School is happy to accept all qualified applicants when space permits. While current members of our parish have priority status, families do not need to be in Holy Name Parish nor Catholic to apply and be accepted. All students are taught Christian values in the Catholic tradition, an important part of the education Holy Name provides all of our students.
Our regular school hours on Tuesday through Friday are 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Faculty meetings are on Mondays; therefore, Monday hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. On the fourth Monday of each month (teacher in-service days) the hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Extended Care is available both before and after school. Before School Care is provided from 7 - 8 a.m. to those who enroll. After School Care is provided from dismissal until 6 p.m. to those who enroll. Enrollment forms will be distributed on the first day of school.
Tuition is due on the first of every month (beginning in September) and is late after the 10th. A $10.00 late fee is added after the 10th. All payments must be submitted in the special payment envelopes provided to you on the first day of school. Please put your account number, which you will find on your tuition envelopes, on all checks.
Information on scholarships and grants is available at www.basicfund.org.
Two tuition plans are available. Plan A is for those families who support Holy Name School and Parish by doing service hours for the school and contributing financially to Holy Name Parish. Your participation will determine your Plan A - Plan B status. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school office.
Since we are actively trying to keep our tuition levels as low as possible, we sponsor fund-raisers to involve the community in our efforts and relieve part of the burden from the parents. We expect our families to participate in the fund-raisers which may include the Parish Carnival and Raffle, Christmas Wrap Sale, St. Patrick's Day Raffle and the school sponsored Walk-A-Thon. All families, regardless of tuition plan, are expected to support the fundraisers which benefit our school.
At no added cost to you, Holy Name will receive a percentage of the amount you spend on your shopping when you participate in our scrip programs. Since there are several options, completing the minimum participation requirement should not be difficult. A list of options and instructions for registering into the scrip programs is available in the school office and on the school website.
Since parental involvement greatly benefits a school, we encourage every family to contribute a minimum of 25 hours of service to the school during the school year. (Single parent families contribute 15 hours.) Completion of these hours is one of the requirements to qualify for Plan A tuition. 6/05
